8:10 p.m.  Witness:  Recent participants of Worldwide Marriage Encounter, Gisela and Carlos Victoria shared some insights from their encounter weekend with the Ultreya group. The theme was “Light my way and enlarge my heart”.  Every marriage has room for improvement; every couple can have a closer connection in love and affection.  Gisela shared a letter that her father had written, encouraging Carlos and Gisela in their love and marriage. Other Ultreya members shared their support of the marriage encounter experience.

 

Old/New News

o        September 20: Washington Cursillo Mass and Picnic:  Mass at St John Vianney Church in Prince Frederick MD at 2:30 PM, followed by a potluck picnic in the pavilion behind the Vianney Room.

(The Mass and Picnic brought together a large group of cursillistas in love and friendship.)

 

·         October 2009

o        Oct. 8-11-- 199th Women's Weekend, Josephite Center, Washington DC. Rita LaClerc will be picking up snacks and bunk junk from Mike’s office at the Vianney Room.

o        Nov. 9-12—Men’s Weekend, Josephite Center, Washington DC  Please encourage men to attend.

o        George & Sandy Sullivan are Washington Cursillo treasurers.  They will be collecting names in support of fundraising at FedEx Field in the 2010-2011 season: 10-12 events, 30 people per event.  Also, they will be taking pre-orders for the Cusillo Cookbook at the picnic.

 

8:35 p.m.  Final prayer:  the group voiced their petitions, followed by a prayer led by Joe Garcia, and a group hug. 

We then shared snacks and punch.
