Who Did It?: Sheehi Paving
Issues Remaining: Very steep grading in some spots.
Cost: $38,100
Renovation of Small House Adjacent To Cemetery (Allie’s)
Description: New carpets upstairs and down. New dishwasher. New kitchen floor and wall. New kitchen counter tops. New paint on all walls and trim. New paint on front porch.
Completion: November 2009 except for front porch painting which was finished June 2010
Who Did It?: Merchandise was from Lowe’s (great discount, but we had to beg), labor was from volunteers.
Issues Remaining: Make the roof pretty, but only if we decide to keep the house a long time. Install the new crank for the upstairs back window.
Cost: $5000

Issues Remaining: Make the roof pretty, but only if we decide to keep the house a long time.
Cost: $4000
Demolition of ECHO House On Main Street
Description: It was old, moldy, and of a poor design that was no longer useable. It is now a grassy field.
Completion: February 2010
Who Did It?: Husky Construction Company
Issues Remaining: The field is not grassy enough; more grass needs to be planted.
Cost: $28,950
Renovation of Kitchen At Parish Center
Description: Replace appliances, new layout and organization
Completion: July 2010
Who Did It?: Volunteers and contractors.
Issues Remaining: No smoke detectors, exit lights, emergency lights in kitchen as the building code requires. The contractor did the natural gas installation of the appliances without a permit or inspection and did it improperly. As it stands, the gas installation is dangerous and the system has had to be shut down.
Cost: $75,000
Current
Renovation and Enlargement of Vianney Room
Description: Bump out the side to the sidewalk, add entrance patio at the FLC end. Redo the inside.
Completion: Plan is that work will start on 1 April 2011.
Who Will Do It?: The architect is Patuxent Architects; the contractor has not yet been chosen.
Issues: The sizing and design of the utilities (water, electric, and HVAC) should be based on the ultimate facility configuration which may include classrooms at the woods end of the parish center. The architect has been directed to stop work until he has communicated detailed mechanical design options.
Cost: $500,000
Future
Build a House on Main Street for Retired Priests
Description: At the site of the ECHO house, a duplex that matches the other SJV campus buildings as well as fits in with the rest of Main Street in Prince Frederick.
Completion: Years away
Who Will Do It?: Ideally, an experienced parishioner volunteer will act as the general contractor and will hire various subcontractors to do the work.
Issues: Probably.
Cost: 3000 sq ft @ $150 per sq ft = $450,000
Add Classrooms to the Parish Center on the Woods Side
Description: Add 2/3 classrooms and new pre-school room, plus renovate existing classrooms and HVAC systems.
Completion: 2012.
Who Will Do It?: Contractors.
Issues: See the Vianney Room renovation section. Funding and deciding exactly what to do.
Cost: $$450,000
Demolish the Two Small Houses
Description: To make room for expanding the cemetery. An expanded cemetery will have a positive financial effect on SJV, as opposed to the negative effect of the small houses turning out to be big property tax liabilities.
Completion: Years away.
Who Will Do It?: Contractor.
Issues: Probably.
Cost: ~$50,000
