MEETING HIGHLIGHTS
4 January 2010
1. Opening Prayer:
Bill Prochownick led us in an opening prayer.
2. Welcome new member:
The President welcomed everyone and a new member Jim Johnson
was welcomed to the club.
2. Treasures Report:
The President and Treasure provided an end of the year
report. To better identify and track the source and expenditure of funds,
income and expenditures are identified in two categories: Monthly Meeting and
Events/Functions. The meeting income is derived from donations towards the
food and drink provided and the Functions income is derived from the events
held by the club during any given year.

The above numbers are provisional. There is a problem in
accurately tracking expenses and income because the church and Men’s Club do
not use the same fiscal year. The Church uses July through June and the Men’s
Club uses the calendar year. There are questions of what happens to our funds
in July. Do they get transferred to the next year or do they get zeroed out.
This affects the totals for income and expenses. The President and Treasures
will discuss the issue with the Church accounting office. We made $500.00 at
the Seafood Dinner and spent $719.09 Even though we still owe the Church $
273.00 for the seafood feast; we are still in black after expenses. A more
detailed report will be provided at the next meeting.
3. Pastor’s Report:
Father Daly gave the Pastor’s report describing many ongoing
activities and a few of the new projects he would like to pursue.
- The church has donated $1000 to our sister church in Mexico and $800 for the roof for the chapel.

one of the cottages owned by the church. Farther Daly also hopes to build
a duplex or other facility for other retiring priests. on the land
recently purchased from ECHO.
- Approximately 100 will attend the young people retreat. Father
extended his thanks to Barbara Moran organizing the event.
- On January 22 there will be the March for life in Washington DC. In support of that, there will be a Unity Night function here at
the church.. The agenda includes talks by women describing their
experience with their abortions. There will also be a showing of the
movie Bella. There will be 2 buses that will leave the church early on
Friday One will leave with our young people at 0630 and the other will
leave with the adults at 7:00. There will be sign up sheet available in
the Festival Room after the next two Sunday masses.
