MEETING HIGHLIGHTS

May 3, 2010

1. Opening Prayer: The opening prayer was given by Dickie Hayes.

2. Welcome: The president welcomed everyone and briefly covered the agenda for the evening. There were 27 active members present.

3. Secretary’s Report: Bill Scharpf reported that the April meeting highlights were distributed by hand to all members. As there were no corrections or additions, they were accepted and will be posted by Jack McFadden on the club address on the Church website.

4. Treasurers Report: Maurice Erly reported we are currently in the Black for our activities. The Men’s Club donated $100 plus the 50/50 winnings ($14) to the Youth Group.

5. Pastor’s Report:

· Father was unavailable this month.

6. Activity Reports: Old Business:

Awards Committee: Jackets: Jack Yatsko reported that we are all squared away with this year’s orders. He also reported that, thus far, 45 members purchased the new golf shirts.
Father Alliata House: Most of the large jobs are done. There is still a list of things to finish up. (Punch List.) We have a target date of July 1 to complete all tasks. Members interested in participating should contact Bruce Brooks for assignments.

7. Activities Reports: New Business

Mother Day Breakfast. Sunday May 9^th. We need help setting up on Saturday, 3PM; Cooking, starting at 6:30AM; and cleaning up, 11:00AM.Members should sign the interest log on the front table.
Derby Day: Larry Donnelley organized a “Derby Day”. Outing at the horse track. He is hoping to raise $550 for or sister parish in Nicaragua. N His is trying to raise enough money to buy 5 computers.
Parish Picnic is scheduled for Aug 8^th.Members interested in working should sign the sheet on the front table.
A special Thanks to Dickie Hayes, Joe Pilkington and Joe Garcia for painting the hall to the Vianney Room.
Habitat for Humanity: Jim Reardon asked if there was interest for the parish to participate with this year’s Habitat’s efforts. They plan to have 12 churches to build a house. They hope to finish by Thanks giving. It was decided to get more information before committing to anything.
